2011 Varsity LADY REBELS

a word from coach boyd

Welcome to the Byrnes High School Volleyball Website!!!  Byrnes is a 4A school playing in Region II.  The Lady Rebels have won the State volleyball title in 1979, 1982, 1986 and 2008.  We are coming into the 2010 season with five returning varsity players.  We finished ranked 7th in the coaches’ poll last season and hope to continue the strong play. The players have been working hard in the offseason both in the weight room and on the court!

If you are interested in playing high school volleyball, we will start weight lifting and conditioning in January.  We will have open gym from May 1st to May 21st.  You will need a physical to participate in any of these activities.  During spring, will be deciding on a camp to go to and start fundraising for camp.  We will continue working out and playing during the summer and have tryouts the first week in August.

We will be starting a D5 volleyball program for grades 3rd through 6th this fall.  Registration will be at the home Dorman match on October 19th.  The teams will be practicing and playing on Monday nights and Saturday afternoons in November and the first part of December.
